Activities

At Haven Memory Care we are unique in our approach to care for our residents. We understand clinical care is the most important aspect of memory care. Each resident has a disease that requires detailed attention to medical treatment. Each resident is unique in this requirement. Under this specialized umbrella of care we also focus on activities that are almost as critical to the care of our residents. We focus our activities based upon where our residents are on the progression of their disease. We have group activities where we include the entire community such as movies or even karaoke. Some do not participate, some are not verbally engaged but they are socially engaged and we recognize how important this is. For the most part our activities contain smaller groups of 4 to 8 residents that are equally advanced with the disease. We also recognize how important stage dementia activities are. Activities such as pet therapy, music therapy, aromatherapy and warm hand massage can be enjoyed by anyone no matter where they are in their diagnosis. We have a full time exclusively focused activity staff. Please give us a call. This is something we really enjoy discussing because we are so different in this field.
